This Privacy Policy explains how the ETEA CBT MCQs application ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

Important Notice – No Government Affiliation

The App is an independent study aid created to help candidates prepare for entrance and recruitment tests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA), the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, or any government department or agency. All names, syllabus references and job titles are used only to describe the exams the study material relates to. For official information, candidates should always consult the relevant official sources.

Information We Collect

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not request or collect your name, email address, phone number, CNIC, address, or any other information that directly identifies you.

Your quiz progress, scores and bookmarked questions are stored only on your own device. We cannot access them, and they are deleted when you uninstall the App.

Some information is collected automatically by third-party services used inside the App, as described in the next section.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect information according to their own privacy policies:

Google AdMob – used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, device information (such as model, operating system version and language), IP address, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about your interaction with ads. This is used to serve and measure advertising. Google's privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy and information about how Google uses data from apps that use its services is at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

OneSignal – used to deliver push notifications. OneSignal may collect a device push token, device identifiers, device type and operating system version. Its privacy policy is available at https://onesignal.com/privacy_policy. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Google Play Services – required for the App to function on Android devices. See https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Advertising and Your Choices

The App displays advertisements in order to remain free to use. You can limit personalised advertising at any time on your Android device by opening Settings → Google → Ads and choosing to delete or reset your advertising ID, or by opting out of ads personalisation. Ads will still appear, but they will be less tailored to you.

Where required by law, users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom are shown a consent request before personalised advertising is enabled, and may change or withdraw that consent.

Internet Connection

The study content in the App is stored on your device and the core study features work without an internet connection. An internet connection is used to load advertisements and to deliver notifications.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone other than the third-party service providers named above, who process it in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not operate an account system or a server that stores your personal data, we hold no personal data to retain or delete. Information stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the App. Information held by the third-party services listed above is governed by their own policies, and you may contact them directly to exercise your rights.

Children's Privacy

The App is intended for candidates preparing for government and entrance examinations and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided such information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the App and its content. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
